The Katikati-Waihi Beach expo is on tonight (Wednesday) in Katikati. So what is it?

It will be set up like a trade show with information spread around the room on some of the important council projects in our ward.

This allows you to focus on what interests you.

The headline act is the waters consultation. We need your feedback on the future of our fresh, waste and storm water networks under government reforms. This is a big decision that we need to take in coming months.

But that is not all. There will also be information on:

1) Heron Crescent elderly housing development;

2) Waihi Beach library

3) The future options for the troubled Katikati sewerage outfall

4) Proposed Athenree crossing walk/cycleway to Waihi Beach

5) Upcoming development of Katikati's Dave Hume heated pools

6) Upcoming Athenree jetty work

There will also be information about kerbside recycling, community grants and civil defence (these days called emergency management).

And you can, of course, ask Allan, Anne and me any questions you like about council matters such as roading (yes, a lot of it about at the moment), playgrounds, toilets, market square or anything else.

Hope to see you tonight at Patuki Manawa, the meeting rooms alongside Katikati Library, from 7pm to 9pm.
